Job description

Fenix International is seeking an organized, entrepreneurial, part-time office manager for our San Francisco office. We’re a mission-driven team committed to building life-changing products that bring energy access and financial inclusion to families living off the electricity grid in Uganda and Zambia, and we need some help keeping our space organized and running well while we work. This is a great opportunity for a trustworthy and reliable person looking for a few hours of work each week who also wants to work with a great group of people and contribute to an incredible social enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Office Management

  • Procurement of supplies for engineering, office in general, and company gifts, including errands as necessary
  • Administrative support for SF office and team members (scanning, filing, liaising with global finance / admin team)
  • Ordering work items for new employees
  • Maintain a neat and pleasant office environment (load and empty dishwasher, tidy office spaces, arrange necessary repairs)
  • Liaise with facility management vendors including cleaning, catering, parking, general contractors, landlord, etc.
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Organize office operations and procedures
  • Additional duties as required

Administrative Support

  • Scheduling and calendar management
  • Travel planning, purchasing, and support
  • Billing, payment, and shipping support
  • Additional support as required


  • Proven experience as an office manager, front office manager or administrative assistant
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite
  • Familiarity with email scheduling tools
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Positive, open-minded attitude
  • Excitement about working to create an excellent office experience for our team, from larger projects to day-to-day operations
  • High school degree
